The Meeting, I am!

Vacances sur La Réunion "Ladies and gentlemen, we have just landed on the island of Reunion Roland Garros Airport. 11:05 ET It is the ground temperature is 29 °, we wish you a pleasant stay on the island of Reunion ". There are really moments in life where we embrace the good steward! ... After flying 10 hours and forty minutes, and little turbulence, I quivered with impatience to extract myself from the idea of the enormous cabin The Airbus A700 had just landed on the island that I had such a hurry to return after an absence of six years! And tell a Parisian that just won 30 degrees in one night is just the icing on the cake of his desires ...

Fifteen minutes to leave the airport without incident after getting my luggage out from the first (the privilege of being registered among the last passengers!), A quick detour to pick up the car made available by the owner ITC Tropicare (I feel like a local!), and here I am in the assault on my island, shunning the mountain road to find one of Barachois and downtown St. Denis, with all windows open of course: "clim 'country' as they say here.

Perfume land heavy with moisture from the last rain tropical trade winds come from who knows where and who thrilled the surface of the Indian Ocean, smoking grills on the side of the road, barge and Victoria Pineapple plump mangoes fresh hope, everything is there to make me smile, I still want to do.

I took my time to get to Saint-Gilles to find my neighborhood. Curious that feeling of being left yesterday ... And later, at the Saline Les Bains, a charming home in the Grand Lagoon Hotel (formerly Villas du Lagon) to stay four days, the time to check whether restaurants are as good as in the past. And enjoy the tranquility and colonial charm of the place ...

I'm tired, I needed to recharge. In less than two hours, viewing the lagoon to the support, I feel alive again!

I am happy to be here. And you have not finished hearing about. I already wanted to tell you in detail, and show you. But it is also necessary that I leave immediately because with all three hour time difference and more compared to Paris it is time for me to finding the perfect place to photograph my first sunset.

And take my first fresh mango juice!

I'm back. And I'm so good!

If you want to learn more about the meeting we will have to let me know!

;-)

Corinne> mango juice is made! Step almost mandatory for me to feel back in "my" island, either Reunion, Seychelles and Mauritius. I do not know where it comes from, probably from all those mangoes I ate the small déjeuenr when I lived on Mauritius and Reunion ...

@ Pfouchard> I just tested the Canon 7D full sunset, and not even scorched! ... :-)

Helen C> then the pineapple ... basis, as if he was too mature, with this beautiful yellow hot, almost caramelized. And the scent ... to fall backwards. Not to say, the best pineapple pineapple is Victoria! (Very small, and very tasty!). I put the program breakfast tomorrow morning.

Jlinne> no coconut punch tonight, but I let myself go unreported to accept a cocktail: "The Reunion", creation of Orangine The restaurant, the Grand Lagoon Hotel in La Saline. It's two inches of vanilla extract (and everyone knows that the Bourbon vanilla - vanilla Reunion 100% - is competing with Tahitian vanilla in terms of flavor), a small piece of fresh ginger and topped with champagne chilled. It is drunk ... alone! But after a night flight, it hurt ...

Minimouss> Welcome to the pages of A World Elsewhere I read that even if you follow me for a long time (thank you for taking the trouble to leave a comment tonight!). I intend to tell a maximum of things on this trip to La Reunion. I will not necessarily Fi everywhere on the island, but I'll write as and when, and I'll post whenever I can. I promise!
    :-)

PS to everyone: I made some nice pictures of the sunset that evening, however this was not fantastic ... You want? ...

You do not work for nothing, Marie-Ange! Be sure to!

Corinne> I even made a video, but I do think others on the same topic and then do a little editing with many sunsets. This will probably be less "boring" one sunset rather static.

Emmanuelle> I'm dead tired this morning, energy level zero! The sleepless night air? The 30 ° difference between Paris and Reunion? The sun and birdsong? Or pancakes with guava jam for breakfast? ... But I still managed to make a short video on the beach, I put it online in a few minutes to allow you to dream a little this week!
    :-)

It's nice to write "do not you work for nothing, it is rare that readers (or others) believe that blogging is work. And yet ...

.. I dream of waking up with 30 °, so we just have fun in the snow /. Tell us the sea, which must also be hot, blue and transparent. Not like us.
Thank you for making us dream. An avid reader of the merits of his campaign, but it sure will make a trip ctte years in a gift thou hast spoken. I v

I understand that time spent on your computer to send photos, videos, respond to comm on the blog and Facebook, and write an article some work, but imagine working at a such a lagoon on a nice terrace ... .. c is .... a dream!

Pierrard> Canon 7D and the 500D hot concert, I play to endorse the handling differences between the two boxes and I play with a 70-200 mm brand new. I what a galley, but it's happiness! ...

    :-)

Bernard35> I too would like to know how to transmit scents, smells, and flavors. I only have words and sometimes the colors of my photos to try to share these things and sometimes it's frustrating!

AnaisB> the ocean is a bit restless these days after the passage of the tail of a cyclone which lay between Madagascar and Reunion. Heavy swell off, which comes crashing into the coral reef that fringes the lagoon. Nice show, but calm lagoon anyway ...

Emmanuelle> since I arrived here I work several hours a day on my computer for sorting, format and publish photos after writing these few items, the ones I is gradually contacts needed to be material to tell, and comments which I respond everywhere including Facebook. Ah, if my readers Facebook could all leave me comments here, I would have less work!

    :-)

However, even working as the night until 3:00 in the morning hoping to take a little ahead, I'm not complaining ...
