We arrived this morning on the island of Tongatapu, the main island of the archipelago of Tonga, the last kingdom in the Pacific. This archipelago is located in an independent East of New Caledonia in the economic zone of the South Pacific between Fiji and Samoa, four hours by plane north of New Zealand.

After two days - which makes three with the time zone change of date! - Travel by plane, after this little monster huge detour via Los Angeles from Papeete, and a two-hour stopover in Fiji (sympa the duty-free areas of Fiji "), we are happy to sit for two nights and three days Nuku'Alofa, the capital of Tonga, the Waterfront Lodge offers the comforts this time weary travelers that we are: hot water in your shower and a real mattress are significant elements which we abuse all at once!

I hesitated over the choice of photograph for the head of this article, should he show you this beautiful sunset over the natural pools carved in coral calcification, or rather the enchanted beach on which we filmed a sequence? ... I chose the sunset, but I will also show below the beach is narrow but very long on which Patrick has found a traditional outrigger canoe.
Admit that I could not miss this sunset that brought us into another time, another century, unique for a few minutes, precious scrolls in pink and gold and the roar of its permanent effects prompter caused by the angry waves that batter the rock in vast haze of spray ...
