I thought I would like to announce that in one week, not to make you linger too then about my adventures in Australia. But I'm too impatient and you're told: I'm leaving for Sydney in two weeks! For me it is the pleasure of discovering a new destination because I do not know Australia, but it is especially happy to go find my son who lives there for 18 months and share a dozen every two days, laugh a little and explore many (or vice versa).

Yesterday Romain wrote me on MSN: "Mom, bring your heels if I ever go out in a classy place!". The tone is set, and now it is not the mother who opens the child's eyes to new horizons, the relay is transmitted: he will show me the best of this city he has adopted in which it flourishes.
But apart from release, I intend to tire a bit and I've noticed some places that have caught my attention is the potential for photographic or for historical interest, or environmental. I will remain in place shortly, and the offset of 10 hours does not simplify my life but I will tell you as always here, our little adventures as the days ... guaranteed Internet connection, no problem this time!
And to make you dream a little before my departure, and since I like to share, I strongly recommend you visit the site of Peter Murphy, who produces photographic panoramas hallucinating. If you do see that for a true glimpse of Sydney, click on the picture dated October 22, 2007, views from the top of the Harbour Bridge overlooking the bay. I will not be able to achieve such a photo because it needs to climb higher than the ordinary tourist are allowed there, but I assure you that I will do my best and I'll be on that bridge. In two weeks! And I promise, I think of you!

Wow, I'm jealous! I also really experience this country .. I save it and go to my next destination.
Lucky you! It is a very nice country, I had the opportunity to discover (1 month in Sydney and a getaway in Queensland) some years ago ... I have very fond memories!
Panorama by Peter Murphy is actually superb. I do not know the technique to achieve such things, but I guess he must have specific hardware!
I look forward to your photos
Lena> there is not that the savings to consider (and in fact place the Australian $ is cheaper than the €), but the journey (2330 travel time between Paris and Sydney), offset schedule, etc. ... I'm going for only ten days but for such a trip it is best to consider several weeks, history of profitable movement ...
Thib> technique and special equipment for these views actually quite spectacular. I'm not there! But promised, I take everything so my small equipment to me ...
Too much of Australia!
I'm going this summer for almost the entire month of August!
I hope you enjoy this trip!
I am sure I enjoy, and I hope that my trip to Sydney will serve you (just) tracking.
Arghhhhhhhhhh's it I too am jealous!
I have a friend who spent 6 months (our study last internship in fact), she was in Brisbane but has managed to get a big month in itinerant: she loved it. I have seen beautiful pictures and she made a superb diving cruise tite ...
But hey I think you most want to take your son to see whales, =))
You're lucky!!
Kisses
Yes Virginia, for eight days I would rather take my son but he has some genes that do not lie, we should take pleasure in exploring some small two corners.
Unfortunately stay too short to plunge this time, even if it itches. And for the whales, it's September, and not want to wait until then!
I hope you spend great moments with your son and to visit the country!
I will content myself with a tiny piece of the country, but I'm sure everything I like!
Thank you.
Well cachotière
Me not gonna make the speech so soon, given the time difference ...
It's all good. We always dream of going round the world. I wish you lots of good things with your son.
I know what I mean. You'll "review" a man more than a child certainly. For Internet connections I do not make me too worried. It's really for everyone and everywhere.
Have Nice Trip.

Well I too am jealous!
Thank you for the link to the views of Peter Murphy. The record is amazing. But I wait to see you on your look to Sydney and Australia.
I wish you in advance a great trip!
Yves> I actually think I have the same feeling as you when you go to New Zealand, I said goodbye to a young teenager of 20 years and counting, I'll find a young independent adult 22 years (well it the will on March 28, do not go too fast either!). And despite the connections MSN / webcam every week, 18 months is a long time for a parent ...
But I always wanted to go explore this vast area also, and even though I know this time will be an approach, slow breathing are other promises, I will profit the most anyway ...
Catherine> Hello and welcome to A World Elsewhere! I am delighted to discover the name of one (e) of my readers / readers from Australia! Regarding the Harbour Bridge I think I can do without this expense because I read on the web and in the Lonely Planet in Sydney we spent ban photographs from the heights of the bridge! But my main motivation to climb in exchange for $ 100 + is essentially about taking landscape photos. But the direction of the bridge took the opportunity to sell (probably at the price of gold) photos taken by photographers. I will probably abstain ... On the other hand the veil is not my favorite hobby, but why not kayaking? Is an interesting suggestion, thank you! And if I manage to save me one day I'll probably take a turn in the Blue Mountains ... to give me advice?
Corinne> Corinne thank you, I have a new look without doubt, like every time I approach a new earth. And this country has just 200 years of colonization, if we disregard the presence of Aborigines before is very exciting to be aware ...
hello!
I just want to be reassured my son 20 years from next month in Sydney alone. he wants to find work and live a little
I'm worried! mother hen probably too ....
Hello Mary, I respond immediately and in the first place to your comment this morning because I understand your concern, my son had the same age when he went nose to the wind to Sydney. Of course everyone saw his own experience, and everything depends on his energy and goodwill. He must read on the Internet websites that offer information and useful information for candidates for expatriation to Australia, such as DownUnder. And up bodies also help to find small jobs quickly.
For my son I had booked a hotel for three nights after his first arrival, it would be possible to know immediately that a place to sleep. There are several hotels "backpackers" very well maintained over Sydney, I myself have used last year one of them near the central station, cheap, very clean and teeming with information for young people .
On the other hand, my son has always found work quickly in Sydney, is the story of a few days if the acceptance of small jobs, those are enough to pay rent then co-tenancy (multiple adults in the same apartment to share rent) and some incidentals.
Do not worry Australia was a safe country, although 20 and 000 km separate us, I am very happy to know my son there when he built new roots and a healthy environment. And then it will also give you the opportunity to go for a walk on the spot, and no doubt you will appreciate Mary ... Sydney is a pleasant city!
I presume that your son will require a visa WHV (Working Holiday Visa)?
